The project

The I-FASENET project focuses on the creation of some innovative services that act as precursors to the possible services provided by the Ital-GovSatCom satellite using new user applications accompanied by appropriate industrial developments.
The broad and varied partnership is organized in such a way as to develop activities in different technological areas of intervention, including the development of mobile or deployable systems for the management of radio and telephone traffic, through satellite terminals and gateways that can compensate for any shortcomings of the infrastructural networks, and allow the implementation of interventions even in areas of the Mediterranean far from the command centers.

These mobile systems are perfectly integrated into latest generation vehicles, suitable for any type of terrain, equipped with propulsion systems flexible with respect to mission profiles, and attentive to environmental issues.

Furthermore, they are equipped with cutting-edge communication technologies. In greater detail, Tiesse deals with the HW/SW design and creation of a system for IOT sensor networks, an SD WAN edge CPE and a SW model for statistical classification of TCP flows based on machine learning; Reiss Romoli of the design and development of the terrestrial segment of the network; Tekne deals with the development of a hybrid-powered vehicle integrated with terrestrial and satellite connectivity and an integrated spectral analysis system; Elital develops an unmanned satellite terminal and satellite targeting platform on a mobile vehicle.

Digimat deals with the design and construction of a hybrid infrastructure between terrestrial (5G, NBIoT and LoRa) and satellite networks as well as wearable IoT devices.
